Aaron Young was born in Portsmouth, Hampshire, and read Politics and Communications at The University of Liverpool. He is a BAFTA-nominated director, producer and executive producer with over 20 years of experience across projects for the BBC, PBS, Channel 4, Channel 5, UKTV, UK Film Council and Arts Council England. A long-time collaborator of acclaimed historian, James Holland, he is the producer and director of the BAFTA-shortlisted BBC titles ‘Battle of Britain: The Real Story’ and, ‘Dam Busters: The Race to Smash the German Dams’, as well as ‘The Battle for Malta’, ‘Normandy ’44: The Battle Beyond D-Day’, the RTS-nominated ‘Imphal &amp; Kohima: Britain’s Greatest Battle.’, and the 3-part series, 'Normandy '44: D-Day and the Battle for France. His most recent credits include 'Hidden Histories of WWII', 'Lost Temples of Cambodia', the RTS-winning ‘Lost Home Movies of Nazi Germany’, and ‘Prue Leith: Journey with My Daughter’. Aaron was named in the inaugural list of BAFTA ‘Brits to Watch.’ He is the co-owner of award-winning film and television production company, Bright Button Productions, and lives with his wife and children in Poundbury, Dorset.

After shooting a teenage boy in an undercover operation, DS Sue Manson is taken off the front line and transferred to a desk job in Missing Persons. But no sooner has she arrived than she's in the thick of the action once more, tasked with tracking down a trio of twisted criminals... 
 
Fractions of Zero - When a desperate father begs DS Manson to find his daughter, the sole clue is a cryptogram on the back of a missing persons notice. Once unravelled, the code turns out to be a riddle that leads them to the location of a dead girl. More ciphers follow, and more victims - all seemingly selected at random - and Sue realises that she's dealing with a serial killer obsessed with numbers. Can she work out his system before he strikes again? 
 
Final Sacrament - After three people disappear for no apparent reason, DS Manson finds herself on the hunt for another serial killer. Her only leads are the cardboard triangles left at the victims' homes along with traces of a deadly toxin, and a series of macabre snaps sent to a South London priest. Father Raphoe believes the photographs are mimicking a series of religious paintings by Renaissance artist Nicolas Poussin. But who is targeting Raphoe's parishioners, and why? 
 
Fragments of Amy - Back from maternity leave, Sue Manson tackles the case of a missing heiress, Amy Muggeridge, abducted on her way back from a party. When a CD arrives containing a ransom message and a riddle, Manson seeks help from Amy's twin, Angela, who seems to have a psychic connection with her sister. Under hypnosis, she provides a vital clue to the kidnapper's identity - but is it too late to save Amy?

As Head Clerk Billy Lamb knows, the clerks' room is the beating heart of a successful chambers. It's the clerks who get the cases, distribute the work, and keep everything running smoothly. But all is not well in Billy's little kingdom. When junior clerk Jake goes behind Billy's back, he finds himself in the firing line, and his colleague, Bethany, also gets in hot water after unknowingly giving a must-win case to an under-performing barrister. And as Billy and Practice Manager Harriet Hammond conspire to oust each other, his deputy John is caught in the crossfire... 
 
With pressure mounting following cuts to Legal Aid, Billy realises that the chambers is on the brink of financial collapse. But his wheeler-dealing creates unease, and before long he's at loggerheads with his star-performing barrister and vying for control of the clerks' room. Running out of options, he turns to an unscrupulous solicitor to secure a guaranteed income - but time is running out to save Shoe Lane... 
 
Written by Mick Collins, who was series consultant for Season 2 of Silk, and award-winning playwright Janice Okoh, these captivating dramas feature the same core characters from the TV show's clerks' room: Billy (Neil Stuke), Jake (Theo Barklem-Biggs), Bethany (Amy Wren), John (John Macmillan) and Amy (Jessica Henwick).

The photo was part of a parcel addressed to a retired criminal lawyer, which also contained bearer bonds, a list of jewellery worth £750,000 and a letter threatening the life of a man named Paul Carson. The crime the package tells of has yet to be discovered - can Galbraith root it out?

The White Hotel, one of seven 'unmade movies' available on audio, centres around circus performer Lisa, who visits famous Berlin psychoanalyst Dr Probst to discover the cause of her mysterious breast and pelvic pains. Reading her sexually-charged journal, Probst concludes that the answer lies in her past. But then Lisa reveals her unsettling premonitions - 'I see what is going to happen. And what is going to happen cannot be endured.' Is her trauma really the result of childhood memories, or a dark vision of the future? 
 
Lauded for his groundbreaking TV dramas, Dennis Potter also wrote several acclaimed screenplays, including Gorky Park. The White Hotel was taken up by numerous directors, from Bertolucci to David Lynch, with actors including Barbra Streisand and Meryl Streep slated to star - but the project defeated them all. Now, directed by Jon Amiel, who worked with Potter on The Singing Detective, this haunting, hallucinatory drama has finally found an audience. Anne-Marie Duff (His Dark Materials) stars as Lisa, with Bill Paterson (Fleabag) as Probst and Simon McBurney (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) as the narrator. It is preceded by a 15-minute documentary, The Long Road to the White Hotel, telling the story of the many failed attempts to film Thomas's novel and the making of the radio production.

In Looking for Billy by Nigel Williams, a private detective investigates protests against an Alaskan pipeline - and finds out what oil did to the indigenous Inupiat people. Behind Closed Doors is a courtroom drama with a difference - it centres around civil law, not criminal. In these nine plays, London barrister Rebecca Nyman takes on cases ranging from workplace harassment to the sensitive, secret trial of a terrorist and a morally complex 'right to die' hearing. 
 
In Series 1, Nyman represents a senior policewoman in a case of sexist bullying at work in 'One of the Lads', while 'Tilting the Odds' sees her helping an equine vet accused of serious professional misconduct. In 'Safe House', a suspected terrorist has his movement and activities severely restricted by the security services - can Nyman clear his name so he can get his life back? 
 
Series 2 features 'A Bad Night Out', in which a man claiming wrongful arrest seeks police compensation; 'Excluded', which sees a teenager facing permanent exclusion from school; and 'Catastrophic Injury', in which a mother claims her baby's cerebral palsy is due to medical negligence and is fighting the hospital for compensation. 
 
In Series 3's 'Contact', a sperm donor is trying to get a court order to allow him to see 'his' daughter, but Nyman's client, the mother, wants him to keep his distance. In 'Section', the barrister hopes to convince a tribunal that a patient who has spent seven years in a secure mental hospital is fit to be released. And in 'Protection', Rebecca represents a man whose wife has been in a minimally conscious state for over three years - should she be allowed to die? 
 
Series 4 includes 'Life Chances', in which Emily has a history of anorexia but is refusing treatment. Should she be force fed? In 'Best Interests', a divorced Charedi Jewish mother has come to the Family Courts to stop her ex-husband changing their children's schools. 'More than Kissing', sees The Court of Protection decide if an 18-year-old with learning difficulties should be allowed to have sex; and in 'Mediation', Maud and Martin's father has died and left his whole estate to a 22-year-old dog walker. Can they challenge the will? Finally, in 'The Balance of Probabilities', a couple fight to get their baby daughter back following the death of their baby son.

Writer and director David Hare is one of England's leading political dramatists, celebrated for his many award-winning plays analysing the morality of contemporary Britain. This collection comprises some of his most acclaimed pieces, as well as a fascinating radio interview with Hare himself. 
 
It opens with his two acknowledged masterpieces: Plenty and Amy's View. These mesmerising dramas, both spanning several decades, present vivid portraits of strong women diminished by circumstance, metaphorically evoking the changing values and collapsing ideals of the postwar period. These are followed by Knuckle, a fast-paced parody of the American hardboiled thriller set in the Home Counties; and Pravda, co-written with Howard Brenton, a satirical comedy about a monstrous media tycoon. 
 
Also included are The Bay at Nice, set in 1950s Russia and exploring the nature of art and freedom; Skylight, about the reunion between a Thatcherite entrepreneur and his onetime mistress; Racing Demon, the first in a trilogy of plays about British institutions, focusing on the Church of England in crisis; and the play in which Hare made his acting debut: the powerful monologue Via Dolorosa, a meditation on his extraordinary 1997 trip to Israel and Palestine.

Inspector Alia Khan is a tough, determined female cop struggling to make her mark in a male-dominated world. In Series 1, landed with a new partner, she investigates a rescued baby, a missing husband, a child prostitution ring and strange goings-on at a psychiatric hospital. When a glamour model is found dead in a five-star hotel, she sets out on the trail of Bollywood's leading heart-throb, and uncovers murder, political scandal - and the truth about her policeman father's death. 
 
In Series 2, the disgraced police inspector has just been released from jail. Seeking a life of obscurity, she gets a job as a receptionist in a run-down Mumbai hotel. But when a serial killer starts operating on the rooftop, Alia is called in. Paired up with incompetent Inspector Ratna Shinde, she soon realises that the murderer is trying to communicate with her through the victims themselves... 
 
Series 3 finds Alia going undercover after suspicions are raised about a young woman's death. When Nyla Ansari is found in a bathtub in her parents' home, a bottle of pills beside her, it looks like suicide. Then a video is discovered, made by Nyla a year before. In it, she claims her father, a wealthy Indian businessman, was going to kill her. Posing as a newly married couple, Alia and her male colleague Junaid Qureshi move into the flat next door. Their mission: befriend Nyla's family, friends and servants, and find out the truth...

Nationalism is running riot in this corner of the country, and the local villages and towns have been rocked by arson and bloodshed. Breweries and newspaper offices have been torched, and now an old lady has been brutally beaten, her house ransacked. Suspicion falls on a group of fanatics called The Soldiers of the Red Dragon - but could someone else be behind the attack on Valmai, and if so, what's their endgame? 
 
Milkie's out of his depth in this harsh landscape. He doesn't speak Welsh, the locals don't trust him and he doesn't know what he's getting into. But his attraction to Beth compels him to seek the truth - and soon it's not just terrorism and violence he's dealing with, but political corruption reaching right to the very top... 
 
Written by Nigel Baldwin (The Tree of Liberty), Burnt stars Dennis Waterman as reluctant hero Milkie. It is narrated by The Teller (Ray Smith), whose breaking of the fourth wall to address Milkie gives the story a unique and surprising slant, and its predominantly Welsh cast adds to the authenticity and atmosphere of this gripping Celtic noir.

A small town in Galloway, on the south-west coast of Scotland. A house strangely unchanged since 1941. A dead nurse. And a lawyer with one million pounds in his bank account - and no idea how it got there... 
 
Peter Calman is in trouble. His legal firm is on the brink of bankruptcy, his secretary's handed in her notice and his bank manager has cut off his credit. Just when he thinks things can't get any worse, his ex-girlfriend Jenny calls, worried about her friend Tim Leighton. She's received a note, supposedly sent by him from an exclusive private hospital - but Tim is a penniless hermit, and illiterate. 
 
Though the hospital denies all knowledge of Tim, Jenny's sure they're lying - and the mysterious caller on Peter's answerphone agrees. But before he can meet her, she's killed in a hit and run. Suspicion falls on Peter - and when a new German client arrives in town, offering him vast sums to buy a local cottage, the mutterings grow louder. And then Peter's office is ransacked...
