The book will be about Helen Ralston, a visionary early twentieth-century artist and writer who seems to have been completely wri­tten out of history. Amazingly Ralston turns out to be still alive and a series of conversations between the two women begins. But a story about the historic erasure of an extraordinary female voice starts to break down into something even more sinister when the narrator begins to uncover unnerving parallels between Ralston’s story and her own.
