I Am The Devouring Dark

She is the Skratti – the monster in the woods.

She does not know where she came from, or why she lurks in these shadows.

She knows only that she hungers. For flesh, for blood – for the human hearts the nearby villagers offer up to her.

But when their latest sacrifice, a petty thief named Rorik, enters the Skratti’s lair, a long-forgotten memory is sparked of a sister she once had.

As the Skratti and Rorik piece together her buried past, a dangerous close grows. Soon she will be forced to choose: devour his heart, or give him her own?
