The Appetite Reset

How to Eat, Drink and Thrive Before, During and After GLP-1s

Includes a Foreword from Professor Tim Spector

GLP-1 medications have transformed how we eat, drink and think about appetite. Millions of people have used them. Millions more are considering them. Yet for all their impact and rapid uptake, one critical gap in support and question remains largely unanswered: how do you nourish your body before, during and after weight-loss medications in a way that truly supports long-term health?

The Appetite Reset is the first science-based, compassionate guide to eating well at every stage of GLP-1 or “peptide” therapy. Written by leading nutritionist and medical scientist Dr Federica Amati, it provides clear, practical guidance for protecting metabolism, restoring appetite signals and building a confident, sustainable relationship with food, whether you are looking to reset your natural appetite biology, exploring GLP-1s, currently taking them, or navigating life after stopping.

At the heart of the book is a simple three-phase nutritional framework grounded in clinical experience, unpacking the science behind these naturally occurring hormones and mechanisms, sharing the latest research into the future of metabolic health. Dr Amati also addresses the emotional and identity shifts that often accompany appetite suppression, helping readers move forward without fear, confusion or diet culture.
